Memory Map Adventurer 2800 GPS
I bought the Memory Map Adventurer 2800 GPS at an exhibition, perhaps camping and caravanning, or some other outdoor activities show.
A review from Bike Radar.
A YouTube video from Memory Map.
I already had MemoryMap installed on my PC, both version 4 and version 5. This was a logical extension. It was to partially replace a Garmin Geko 201/301.
Not only did it have maps to follow but it recorded where you were and were you had been using GPS.
I had already used the Garmin Geko to great effect on a holiday in Wales, where the cottage we stayed in was well off the beaten track. Going for walks and being able to find your way back because of a track is very useful.
The position logs, or tracks recorded on the Memory Map Adventurer 2800 GPS could be imported into the PC Memory Map software, and as if by magic, there is the timings and the route taken. I not think I had a car Satnav at the time and I did not use the Memory Map Adventurer 2800 GPS as a substitute. They are different things for different purposes.
I think I already had a i-gotU GT-120 USB GPS Travel Logger. Again a very different product.
